PORTLAND (AP) – Tyler Von Schell knocked a three-run homer and scored twice as the Norwich Navigators defeated the Portland Sea Dogs 6-4 Friday.

Norwich grabbed a three-run lead in the second inning when Von Schell homered over the left-field wall with two runners aboard.

Jared Sandberg’s RBI single and back-to-back doubles by Scott Youngbauer and Bret LeVier were the key hits as Portland tied it with a run in the third and two in the fourth.

Dan Ortmeier doubled and scored as Norwich made it 4-3 in the sixth, but the Sea Dogs evened it again in the bottom of the inning.

Tim Hutting’s RBI single sent the Navigators up 5-4 in the top of the ninth. Von Schell singled and scored the insurance run.
