HEBRON – The Additon family held its 75th reunion on Aug. 7 at the Hebron Pines Campground. Those attending are descendants of Thomas and Anna (Beals) Additon, who married in Leeds in 1821. John Additon of New Iberia, La., a descendant of Thomas’s brother, Otis Additon, was a special guest, along with his wife, Blanche.

The oldest person present was Harold Meade, 92, of Bridgton.

The youngest was Tessa Jane Foster Lippmann, born April 19, 2003, daughter of Diane Foster and Thomas Lippmann of Columbus, Ohio.

Marcia Troyer of Boulder, Colo., traveled the greatest distance. Other states represented were Louisiana, Florida, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Family members reported one birth and one marriage. Resolutions were adopted in memory of Richard and Norma Mansur of Richmond, Va., Erma Mower of Greene and Beverly J. Matthews of Auburn.

Brian Hodgkin of Gorham presided at the business meeting with 61 in attendance. Officers elected for 2006 are Lorri Pelletier of Greene, president; Brenda Tuchon of Charlestown, N.H., vice president; Douglas Hodgkin of Lewiston, secretary; and Donald Smith of Wellesley, Mass., treasurer. Members of the Finance Committee are Ellis Additon of Vassalboro, Errol Additon of Leeds and Elise Hodgkin of Yarmouth.

After the potluck dinner, the meeting and entertainment, Jennifer Kelsey of Charlestown, N.H., won the raffle for a pair of homemade quilts.
