RUMFORD – Rolling Stones fans across New England can help the American Red Cross avert a summer blood shortage and enter a drawing to attend the Rolling Stones concert that will be held at Fenway Park in Boston on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

All who come to donate blood at an American Red Cross blood drive or donor center between Aug. 4 and 18 will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win the pair of tickets. The Rolling Stones is kicking off its new album and world tour called “A Bigger Bang” at Fenway Park.

Eligible donors in the Livermore Falls area can give blood from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Murray Hall, Route 4, Livermore Falls.

Donors in the Rumford area can give blood from 1 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the American Legion Hall, Congress Street. Call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE to schedule an appointment. Contest rules can be viewed by logging onto www.newenglandblood.org.

To give blood a donor must be at least 17, there is no upper age limits, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.

Donors can give blood every eight weeks.
