PORTLAND – Walter G. Ouillette, 58, of East Wilton, died early Wednesday morning, Aug. 17, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born, Feb. 14, 1947, in Lowell, Mass., a son of George and Anne (Blanchard) Ouillette.

In 1965, he married Judith Sawyer in Chelmsford, Mass. They moved to Maine in 1977. He worked at G.H. Bass in Wilton and most recently at the Farmington Wal-Mart.

He was a member of the Woodland Wanderers Snowmobile Club and helped in the pit crew for Warren Family Racing. He loved snowmobiling and kayaking.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of East Wilton; a daughter, Mary Hinkley and her husband, Donald Jr., of Farmington Falls; a brother, Russell Ouillette and his wife, Claire, of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Ruth Greene of Nashua, N.H.; and two grandchildren, Benjamin and Jamie Ulery of Farmington Falls.

He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Catherine Ouillette.
