Castlebay will bring Celtic tunes Sunday, Aug. 21, to the Bethel Common in Bethel and Wednesday, Aug. 24, to Little Brown Church on Route 32 in Round Pond.

For 20 years folk musicians Fred Gosbee and Julia Lane, known as Castlebay, have played and sung the traditional music of Maine, as well as the Celtic lands. In addition, they compose their own musical works. They weave history, legend, experience and humor into their music featuring Celtic harp, guitar, fiddle and woodwinds.

The Bethel concert will begin at 4 p.m. Rain site is Bingham Auditorium on Church Street at Gould Academy.

The Round Pond concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is by donation (suggested $8/$20 for families) and benefits the church building maintenance fund. Bring cushions because the seats are hard. Sanitary facilities are “rustic.”
