GREENE – The Greene Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is announcing the sale of community birthday calendars to help to raise money for the special needs of the firemen and women on their fire and rescue squad.

The price for the 2006 calendar is $6. Anyone can purchase a calendar and have five names added. Extra names may be inserted for 50 cents each. Each additional calendar is $5. The names can reflect a birthday, anniversary, in memoriam or a tribute to a member of the military. The deadline to purchase a calendar is Sept. 15.

Forms to purchase the calendar are available at the Greene Town Office, from auxiliary members or by calling Brenda Theriault at 946-5750 or Melissa Cloutier at 946-3344. They will also be available at the auxiliary booth on Sept. 10 during the Greene Village Day celebration.

All proceeds will benefit the Greene Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
