NORWAY – Maine artists Kate Schrock and Mary Uke will perform Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Fare Share Commons, 447 Main St.

Schrock is a lyricist whose songs have the power of short stories that lay bare the feeling of the heart. She blends rock, jazz and even a touch of the gospel to create her personalized style.

She has produced five albums. Her most recent CD release is Indiana.

In 2004 she traveled to Jamaica to record with members of the Wailers. In the same year she traveled to Equador, for humanitarian work and education with an organization called Heifer International founded by her grandfather.

Opening for her is special guest, Mary Uke, a singer/songwriter who plays ukulele

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.; Doors open at 7 p.m. Seating is limited.
