AUBURN – Janet Gibson, season ticket chairwoman, is processing ticket sales for Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre’s 66th season. The deadline for subscription for the season is Sept. 15.
Following that date, individual tickets will be available to the public. Subscriptions may be reserved by calling the box office at 783-0958 or accessing the Web site at www.laCLT.com.
Gibson said subscribers benefit by having five shows for $60, which is a 20 percent discount off regular seat prices.
She lists a few more advantages of getting a subscription: a guarantee for “same” seat reservations, season ticket exchange up to 24 hours prior to curtain, annual membership is included, the CLT newsletter, “Backstage Whispers,” is mailed to patrons as well as audition notices and other theater related information, and it supports the local community theater

CLT has the Maine premiere showing of “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” for community theaters in Maine. Directed by Richard Martin, the show will run Oct. 6 to 16. The show is based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film.
Disney’s musical extravaganza is filled with special effects as well as dazzling production numbers and songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.
Directed by Linda Britt, CLT will open the new year with David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, “Proof.” Playing Jan. 13 to 22, the adult comedy about a mathematical proof is actually the story of family relationships, sacrifice, love and the delicate line between brilliance and madness. Catherine, her friend Hal, and her sister, Claire, all suspect that Catherine has inherited genius and the mental illness of her dead father. The resolution is surprising and triumphant. Ray Dumont directs “Grand Hotel, the Musical,” a 1989 smash hit and winner of five Tony Awards. The book is by Luther Davis and music and lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest, with additional music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The show will run March 10 to 19.
“Grand Hotel” tells the stories of the staff and guests of Berlin’s fictional Grand Hotel in 1928. Included is the ambitious young girl who dreams of Hollywood and the loveable bookkeeper who befriends her, the charming and penniless young baron, and the aging ballerina who has sacrificed everything for her career.
The score is adapted from the MGM classic “Grand Hotel” and moves from drama to comedy, torch song to Charleston, as it follows the schemes, plots, secrets and fates of the unforgettable characters.
Lee Griswold directs “The Diary of Anne Frank,” a play about a young girl’s coming of age story as depicted in the newest 1998 adaptation of “Diary of Anne Frank” by Wendy Kasselman. All audiences should experience what Anne went through to appreciate the sustained hope she held throughout her captivity. Anne believes that people are good despite the evil that exists in the world. The play will run June 2 to 11.
“Mame,” the musical, will be directed by David Lock, running Aug. 11 to 20. Book is by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee. Music and lyrics are by Jerry Herman.
Flash back to the roaring 1920s as a 10-year-old orphan boy is delivered to his swinging, eccentric Auntie Mame while she is hosting a cocktail party for her flamboyant friends. Thus begins 18 years of adventures as she proves that life can be a banquet.
For the comfort of patrons, the production will be staged in the air-conditioned auditorium of Lewiston Middle School, Central Avenue.
