GRAY – Heather Marie Johnson, 19, of Jay died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 21, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born, July 25, 1986, in Farmington, the daughter of William “Bill” and Corrina (Knight) Johnson. She graduated from Jay High School in 2004 and was currently a student at the University of Maine at Orono.

Heather loved life and will forever be remembered as having a big heart and being a hard worker. Her endeavors in life were certainly reflective of that as she tutored peers, belonged to the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, worked with the Healthy Community Coalition and was a National Honor Society member in high school, as well as being a member of the women’s basketball team. She was currently working at Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake to earn money for college.

Heather is survived by her parents of Jay; paternal grandparents, Harold and Elaine Johnson; maternal grandparents, Donald and Nancy Knight of Jay; a brother, Josh Cole of Jay; sister, Samantha Johnson of Jay; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
