TOMS RIVER, N.J. – Rosario Alfred Dube Jr., 71, of Toms River, N.J., passed away Saturday, Aug. 13, at Community Medical Center at Toms River, N.J.
Born in Lewiston, he lived in Brick, N.J., for 22 years, moving to Lancaster, Pa., in 1985 and returning to New Jersey to settle in Toms River in 1996.
He was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service from 1975 to his retirement in 1991. He worked in Brick, N.J., and Lancaster, Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy and Army from 1951 to 1966, and served during the Korean War.
He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks BPOE 2151, both of Brick, N.J., and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of New Jersey 20 Chapter.
Surviving are his wife, Anne M. Kelly Dube; his son, Rosario “Ross” Dube III of Washington, D.C.; his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Arsenault and Arun Bhat of Manchester, N.J.; his sisters, Constance Brackett of Auburn, Georgette Fouquette of Litchfield, Jacqueline Bernard of Conyers, Ga., Joan Ouellette of Scarborough and Bona Kimmerling of Lewiston; and his granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Arsenault of Manchester, N.J.
He was predeceased by his son, Daniel Patrick Dube, in 1984; and son-in-law, Richard Arsenault in 1997.
