WARWICK, R.I. (AP) – An elderly married couple was found dead inside a home here Monday afternoon, and officers believe one of the deaths may be a homicide, police said.

Police found the man and woman around 3 p.m., said Warwick Police Lt. Kevin Mowry.

The couple did not live at the house, which belonged to an unidentified family member, Mowry said.

The identities of the couple were not immediately released, and police would not disclose the cause of death.

Authorities were not looking for suspects in the deaths, Mowry said, adding, “We don’t believe there’s a suspect to be found.”

An autopsy was pending.
