Bridge winners

NORWAY – Duplicate bridge was held Aug. 19 with five tables in play. Winners for the morning were: first, Larry Holmes and Les Buzzell; second, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; third, Marta Clements and Richard Balian; fourth, Adele Bendes and Woody Mercier. Also placing were Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens.

Any bridge player who wants to play duplicate is invited to play. Everyone is welcome at 9 a.m. each Friday. Arrive a bit earlier to have a timely start.

School reunion

SUMNER – The Sumner School Reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 27, at the West Sumner Universalist Church Vestry. The assembly will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck dinner at noon. A short meeting will be held after lunch followed by prizes and gifts. Any person who has attended any one of the schools in Sumner is invited. Bring a friend. For more information, call 597-2126.

Public supper

WATERFORD – A public supper will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30 , at the North Waterford Congregational Church. There will be baked beans, American chop suey and, casseroles. Adults $7 and children under 12 $3.50.

Grange birthday

GREENWOOD – Franklin Grange 124 will observe its 130th anniversary Saturday, Sept. 10, at an open house from 2 to 3:30 p.m. followed by a buffet lunch.
