LEWISTON – Richard Donald Fournier, 69, of Lewiston, passed away at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Born in Lewiston, he was the son of Donozor and Jeannette Tardiff Fournier.

He was a member of the Auburn National Guard, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, National Rifle Association and the Androscoggin Fish and Game. He was an instructor at the Junior Rifle Club of the Auburn Police Department.

He loved to square dance with his wife, Lois Kimball Fournier, woodworking, skiing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a self-employed contractor, and loved to build and make wood products.

Survivors include his mother, Jeannette; his wife, Lois; two sons, Michael Fournier and his companion, Jen Derosia, of Auburn, and Mark and wife, Michelle Fournier, of Sabattus; five daughters, Lorraine and husband, Michel Curran, of Sabattus, Pauline Fournier and companion, Barbara Passalacqua, of Quincy, Mass., Diane and husband, Robert Levin, of New Hampshire, Rachel Fournier of Augusta and Claire Fournier of Turner; one brother, Raymond and wife, Barbara Fournier, of Florida; seven stepchildren, David and wife, Rita Gower, of South China, Leroy Jr., and wife, Sally Gower, of South China, Richard and wife, Linda Gower, of Richmond, Kevin Gower of South China, Charlene and Stephan Tucker of Massachusetts, Brenda and husband, James Taylor, of Stetson, and Sandra Kimball and companion, Wendy, of Newport; two sisters-in-law, Jean Hutchins of Waldoboro, and Anne and husband, Clyde Perkins, of Dresden; many grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father.
