WEST PARIS – Rosella Lydia Knowlton, 92, of West Paris and formerly of Sumner, died Aug. 22, in West Paris after a long illness.
She was born in Lisbon, May 20, 1913, the daughter of Alfred and Elsie (Houston) Obie.
She worked as a dressmaker and was a housewife most of her life.
She was married to the late Everett Knowlton; he died in 2000.
She is survived by three daughters, Doris Lewis of Harrison, Rosalie Pomerleau of Lisbon and Sandra Turcotte of Skowhegan; one son, Everett Knowlton Jr., of Turner; two sisters, Annie Shorette of South Paris and Mary Boswick of Delaware; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
