HARRISON – The Deertrees Theatre Festival will present Donald Marguilies’ “Sight Unseen” Thursday through Sunday, Sept. 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Deertrees Theatre.
First presented Off-Broadway in 1992, “Sight Unseen” won the Obie Award for Best New American Play. The Deertrees’ presentation will feature Beth Chiarelli, Paul DeBoy, Kate Geishen and Thomas Sullivan, the GreenLight TheatreWorks founder and producer.
In the play, Jonathan sees that his ex-lover has kept a portrait he painted of her in his early years. It takes him back to their beginnings, and the play becomes a sequence of nuances, skillfully zeroing in on the choices that men and women make.
All shows are at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the Cool Moose in Bridgton, The Country Sleigh in Naples, Fare Share Co-Op in Norway, Books & Things in Bethel and at the theater. For reservations, call 583-6747.
