RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Wagnis was celebrated Friday morning at St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant.

Organist was Mark Belanger. Readings were given by a member of the family, Peter Zanoni. Eulogy was given by Police Chief Wayne Gallant.

Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur conducting committal services.

Representatives from local police departments who took part in the services were police escort, Patrolman Eric Richard, Rumford Police Department; Patrolman Corey Jacques, Rumford Police Department; and Patrolman James Bernard, Rumford Police Department.

Pallbearers were Chief Timothy Bourassa, Rumford Police Department; Chief James Theriault, Mexico Police Department; Chief Wayne Gallant, Wilton Police Department; Sgt. Daniel Garbarini, Rumford Police Department; Patrolman Paul Casey, Rumford Police Department; and Patrolman Matthew Noyes, Rumford Police Department.

A reception followed the services at the church hall at St. Athanasius-St John Church. Arrangements were under the care of Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
