FAIRFAX, Vt. (AP) – A 14-year-old boy was killed Friday after being hit by a New England Central freight train, police said.
The victim was identified as Abraham Patry of Fairfax, police said.
Police received a 911 call at about 10 a.m. from the railroad reporting that it had hit a person on the tracks near the Skunk Hill Road crossing.
The train was traveling at about 35 miles an hour on an uphill grade when it hit Abraham.
