HARTFORD, Conn. – John “Jack” Albert Staib Jr., 87, of South Windsor, Conn., died Friday, Aug. 26, at Hartford Hospital.

He was born in Gildersleeve, Conn., on Dec. 26, 1917, to John A. Staib Sr. and Minnie Jennie Twenty Staib.

He is survived by children, Carolyn Gray of Rochester, Mass., Jacquelyn Hack and husband, Robert, of Greene, John A. Staib III and wife, Sally, of Coventry, Conn., Marilyn Oquisanti, and Lynne Cavalieri and husband, Guy, all of South Windsor, “adopted” daughter, Celia Jarvis of Vernon; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
