Make sure your back is facing the target at the top of your backswing, and that your belt buckle is facing the target at the end of your follow through. This pertains to every full swing from a 7-iron to a fairway wood. When you swing, you start by standing in a nice, athletic position with your arms extended naturally. Your power and motion run from your hands and shoulder down through your hips on the backswing and is firmly on your back leg. You should let your club go to its position there. After that, all you need is a little nudge with your hip, and you become like a wound-up rubber band and uncoil the same way, from your legs through your hips and to your upper body. Ending with your belt buckle toward the target ensures you have followed through. – Dave Mazzeo, Norway Country Club
