Jones reunion
STRONG – Recently 17 descendants of John D. and Mary Rand Jones (1858-1905) and guests gathered. Most of those present were from son John A. Jones, who settled on a farm in Farmington. He had a brother and two sisters who also lived there.
After a potluck dinner, a business meeting was opened. Two people have attended more than 60 meetings and two others more than 50 during the past years.
President Andrew Pratt, host of the reunion, has been to 63 and secretary Floriece has a count of 61. The family’s genealogist has 54 years and an emergency volunteer has 55 meetings.
The same slate of officers was elected for another year. An invitation to meet at the home of A.G. Pratt in Strong on the third Sunday in August next year was accepted.
