LEWISTON – Jeannette A. St. Pierre, 84, of Montello Heights, 550 College St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Aug. 28, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Daquam, Quebec, Jan. 31, 1921, the daughter of Alcide and Marie Paradis Foley. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married Feb. 3, 1940 to Napoleon R. St. Pierre; he predeceased her Jan. 12, 2001.
She had been employed in local shoe shops prior to her retirement. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, and a former member of the Sabattus Senior Citizens with whom she enjoyed going on trips with.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Gagne of Auburn, Lucy Wilcox of Florida, and Joline Fontaine and her husband, David, of Sabattus; five sons, Richard and his wife, Rella, Ronald and his wife, Georgette, and Roland and his wife, Betty, all of Lewiston, William “Bill” and Becky Brown of Greene, and Bertrand and his wife, Gloria, of Massachusetts; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Debra St. Pierre; two sisters, Marieange Lepage and Jean Hodge; and two brothers, Gerald and Eddie Foley.
Jeannette was a warm and caring person and will be greatly missed. Her family was very dear to her, and her warmth and generosity were not limited to her family. She especially loved being around for family gatherings and being the official family photographer.
