Surely, the Sun Journal must receive letters from readers who express viewpoints that are not Christian-focused. Every day or so, it seems, the Sun Journal publishes at least one – often several – letters with quotations from the Bible in an effort to demonstrate that if we don’t live our lives according to those words, we are fated to a life of misery and total damnation.
On Aug. 25, Mr. Dubois from Poland asks why Christians are charged with being narrow-minded and biased. How about because they use only one source to base their opinions on? Perhaps they would be thought of as wise and open-minded if they did some research on the topics they believe they are so sure about before they accuse others, and spend less time judging “nonbelievers” who have different views.
Perhaps the Sun Journal could limit the number of letters with the Christian theme. That message can be had in other, more appropriate, venues.
Honor similarities; respect differences.
