Sarah Howard was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Maine on May 21. Howard graduated with a major in Hispanic studies and a minor in political science. While a student at USM, she participated in the Rissho University Exchange Program in Shinagawa, Japan. In January and July 2004, she also was the interpreter with the USM Dominican Republic Health Outreach Partners Program.
She lives in Portland and is employed by Unum Provident. She is a 1999 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and the daughter of Maureen and Jim Howard of Otisfield.
