LONG BRANCH, N.J. – Alice G. LePage, 90, of Allenhurst, N.J., formerly of 41 Walnut St., Lewiston, died on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Monmouth Medical Center.
Born in Auburn on Feb. 13, 1915, daughter of Albert J. and Rose-Anna Paquette Houle, she was educated in Brunswick schools.
She was married to Ernest LePage on July 4, 1935; he died on Dec. 18, 1964.
She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, the Ladies of St. Anne, La Survivance Francaise and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. She was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Parish in Deal, N.J.
She enjoyed her daily Mass on TV, praying for everyone and doing word searches.
She also enjoyed keeping in touch with her grandchildren and her extensive family.
She will be remembered as the matriarch of the Houle and LePage families, being the last survivor of that generation.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, L. William and Anita Brown of Stonington, Conn., Michael and Joanne Crawford Burkitt of Allenhurst, N.J., and Marcel and Constance Beaudoin of Lisbon; a daughter-in-law, Jayne LePage of Sabattus; grandchildren, Linda Botello of Massachusetts, Karen Conrad of Florida, Kathy Brown of Connecticut, Douglas Brown Connecticut, William Crawford, N.J., Daniel Beaudoin of Maine, Rachel Duffault of Maine, Michael LePage of Maine, Julie LePage of Maine, Ernest C. LePage III of Maine and Kimberly Donovan of Maine; step-grandchildren, Beth Baril of Maine, John Baril of Maine and Jeff Baril of Maine; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her spouse, Ernest C. LePage; her sons, Ernest C. LePage Jr., Normand LePage and Edward LePage; her sisters, Noellia Girardin, Annette Houle, Eva Houle, Irene Robitaille and Lilianne Beaulieu; and her brothers Leo Houle, George Houle and Real Houle.
