AUGUSTA – UMA College of Arts and Humanities and UMA Senior College will present Concerts at Jewett for a third season at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16 in Jewett Hall Auditorium.
Proceeds go toward future lectures and concerts to benefit the community. The series will feature local performers representing a variety of musical forms.
Kicking off the series will be 82-year-old Muriel Havenstein, Maine jazz/swing pianist, in a quartet.

Sunday, Oct. 16, 2 p.m., Noreen and Phillip Silver. Celebrated cello/piano duo in a benefit concert for the Michael Klahr Holocaust Education Resource Center to be built at UMA. Pre-concert talk by Prof. Silver, 1 p.m..
Friday, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m., Don Campbell Trio. Guitar/bass/fiddle. Popular Maine native singer-songwriter performing adult contemporary and country tunes that celebrate the simple pleasures of life.
Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m., CODA Chorus, international holiday concert at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Western Avenue. 100 voice chorus; concert proceeds go to CODA.
Friday, Jan. 20, 7:30 p.m., By Rodgers! An original revue celebrating three musical generations: Richard Rodgers; his daughter, Mary Rodgers (“Once Upon a Mattress”); and grandson, Adam Guettel (2005 Tony Award for “The Light in the Piazza”). Snow date is Sunday, Jan. 22, 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10, $5 for students, and 12 and under free. The subscription rate for seven or more concerts is $8, and $4 for students. Subscription tickets are available only by mail.

Sunday, Feb. 12, 2 p.m., DaPonte String Quartet with new member, violinist Lydia Forbes, returns to Jewett Hall for the third year. Pre-concert talk by cellist Myles Jordan, 1 p.m.
Sunday, March 19, 2 p.m., Bellamy Jazz Band. This eight-piece Dixieland/swing band plays swing and traditional New Orleans and Chicago style jazz.
Sunday, April 9, 2 p.m., Nordica Trio. Chamber music, Karen and Graybert Beacham, and Cheryl Tschanz, clarinet, violin/viola, and piano. Pre-concert talk by Nordica Trio, 1 p.m.
Sunday, May 7, 2 p.m., CODA Chorus, St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Augusta.
Friday, May 19, 7:30 p.m., Old Grey Goose International. A multimedia concert with live music and video clips of their State Department sponsored tours. Traditional American folk music along with their collaborations with musicians from the countries they have toured.
Sunday, June 25, 2 p.m., Emerging Artists. PORTopera’s auditioned Maine voices. The opera will be announced later. Proceeds will be used for in-school enrichment programs.
