LEWISTON – The wedding of Amber Lynn Gervais and Thomas Albert Berube Jr. was held at 1 p.m. on June 4 at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Andrew Dubois officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Berube is the daughter of Clement and Barbara Gervais of Lewiston. Mr. Berube is the son of Tom and Pauline Berube of Monmouth.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white halter style gown with beads and sequins on the satin bodice and floor length organza skirt with beaded, scalloped hemline. She carried two dozen hot pink roses with surrounding greens and scattered white flowers.
Tina Pilot was matron of honor for her sister and bridesmaids were Kristie Berube, sister of the bridegroom, Jennifer Roy, high school friend of the bride, and Erica Madore and Jillian Madore, childhood friends of the bride. Abigail Pilot, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Tom Berube Sr., father of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Ernie Berube, uncle of the bridegroom, and Joshua Plamondon, Luke McDonald and Chuck Tibbetts, childhood friends of the bridegroom. Cole Pringle, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at Martindale Country Club in Auburn, after which the couple traveled on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean for seven days. They are residing in Belchertown, Mass.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently attending the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing to obtain her master’s degrees in midwifery, family nurse practitioner and women’s health nurse practitioner. She is employed at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., as a registered nurse on the telemetry unit.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Monmouth Academy and a 2002 graduate of Maine Maritime Academy with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a product marketing engineer at Turbocare in Chicopee, Mass.
