LIVERMORE – Shirley Anne Parlin, 68, of Bear Mountain Road, died Friday, Sept. 2, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a brief illness.

She was born on March 14, 1937, in Brockton, Mass., a daughter to Gladys and Fred Fowler. She attended schools in Brockton, Mass.

Shirley and her husband, Rudy, would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on Oct. 16. Shirley married Rudy in 1952 in Brockton, Mass.

Shirley was homemaker to her husband, and together they raised nine children.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidery and crafts. She also loved her gardens, watching her many birdfeeders and cooking for her family. She truly enjoyed her family life and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her most treasured pastimes was listening to her husband and friends play their guitars.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, family, friends and siblings.

Surviving is her loving husband, Rudy; children, Sandra Hood and husband, Gary, of China Village, Milton Parlin and wife, Donna, of Livermore, Roxanne Sweatt and husband, Dave, of Dixfield, Debra Labrecque and husband, Rick, of Rumford, Wendy Rusu and husband, Larry, of Adamsburg, Pa.; Susan Michaud and Reggie of East Dixfield, and Michael Parlin, Dennis Parlin, David Parlin and Jill, all of Livermore; sisters, Marion Anderson and husband, Dick, of Wareham, Mass., and Beverly Clark of East Hampton, Mass; sisters-in-law, Tina Paxman of Farmington, Claire Parlin of Lewiston, Judy Fowler and Diane Deligolia, both of Brockton, Mass.; brother-in-law, Silas and Lena Parlin of Norway; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Robert Deligolia and Fred Fowler Jr.; and a grandson, Tony Rusu; and several in-laws.
