Band returns
BERLIN, N.H. – The Don Campbell Band will return to the St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts, 155 Emery St., at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11. The band has been voted “Best New Act in Country Music.”
Advance tickets are $12 available at Gills Flower Shop, Berlin, and Wonderland Book Store, Gorham. Tickets at the door are $15. Students kindergarten through age 12 are half price.

Rally day
PARIS – Sunday School Rally Day will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., South Paris. Sunday school is offered for pre-school through middle school, and high schoolers are invited to help out in the classroom.
In addition to those who have been members of the Sunday school in the past, all are bring their children, grandchildren or neighbors. For more information about the church or the Sunday school, call the church office at 743-2437.
Sunday also marks the return of the church choir after a summer hiatus. Services are at 10 a.m. and everyone is welcome.

Hypnosis program
GREENWOOD – Dr. Michael Hathaway will present a program, “Amazing Hypnosis” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the Locke Mills Town Hall to benefit the Greenwood Historical Society.
Donation are $5. Everyone is welcome.
Hathaway has a private hypnosis practice at the White Mountain Hypnosis Center on Route 113, Madison, N.H. He has a doctorate in clinical hypnosis, is a certified trainer for the National Guild of Hypnotists and a presenter at their annual convention. He is a certified past life regression therapist.
Hathaway is the author of four books. “Everything Happened Around the Switchboard” is the anecdotal story of his parents’ business in Bryant Pond, the last old-fashioned hand-crank telephone company in the country before it was converted to dial.
Benefit party
PARIS – The public is invited to a home and toy party starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at the South Paris Legion Hall on Church Street. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds will benefit area veterans.
