PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce has recently added five new members to its board of directors in an effort to fill some vacancies and strengthen the organization as it moves forward into the implementation phase of its new strategic plan.

“This is one of the most powerful working boards’ it has ever been my pleasure to work with,” said Rich Livingston, chamber president and CEO.

“It’s no secret that we are a small, underfunded nonprofit agency with a huge agenda of work that needs to be performed on behalf of our 350 or so members, and we have come to rely heavily on the energy and commitment of our board members. Personally, I am thrilled that we have been able to attract a cadre of such distinguished members of the Oxford Hills business community.”

Judy Green, chamber board chairwoman, added, “One of the most important responsibilities of board officers, I believe, is the need to provide for continuity of the board and the organization for which the board is responsible. I have known these people forever, and I think we are truly fortunate that they have agreed to work with us.”

Livingston said, “We are about to launch a series of sweeping new initiatives in support of a new vision for the greater Oxford Hills community. We have a new mission and a renewed sense of commitment to the businesses of the Hills, and we will need all the help we can get in order to move this program forward.”

The Chamber is planning to unveil its new vision, mission, strategic plans and brand identity for the Oxford Hills at the kickoff breakfast of the Business

Showcase event on the morning of Friday, Oct. 28, for which a limited number of tickets are already being reserved.
