MEXICO – Mexico First Baptist Church, 20 Roxbury Rd., invites River Valley families to a free monthly program, which will be held from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Mondays starting Sept. 12.

The book and video series, “Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining and Bad Attitudes in You and Your Kids!,” put out by the National Center for Biblical Parenting, will be the basis for parenting sessions for adults and a special club for children in grades kindergarten through six.

The book will be available for purchase, but is not required for attendance. The evening will begin with a free spaghetti dinner for the family. At 6 p.m. adults will participate in a video presentation and discussion led by Pastor Bob Peters titled “Honor: The Secret Ingredient for Family Life.”

Grade school children will cover the same topic in their Kingdom Kids Honor Club through a Bible lesson, songs, crafts and games.

A nursery will be provided for children not yet in school. At 7 p.m. everyone will reunite for family games until dismissal at 7:15.

The meals and meetings will continue throughout the school year on the first Monday of each month, except in January, when it will be the second Monday.

In addition, a special one-day parenting seminar with children’s activities will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, covering “Sibling Conflict.”

For more information, call Peters at 364-8712 and leave a message. The church parking lot can be accessed from Cherry or Granite streets.
