HUDSON, Fla. – Mary Buzzell Pattberg passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, in Hudson, Fla.

She was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Fryeburg. She attended Fryeburg Academy and the University of Maine. She obtained a bachelor of science in home economics degree in 1939 and a master of education degree in 1956. She was a past member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International and the Beacon Woods East Woman’s Club.

She worked in Home Extension in Aroostook County and later taught home economics in Belgrade and Windham. She retired from teaching at Housitonic Valley High School in Falls Village, Conn., and later moved to Bayonet Point, Fla., for retirement.

She was married to the late Norman H. Pattberg in 1959, in Groveland, Mass. During their marriage of 42 years, they traveled to Europe, France, Italy, North Africa, China, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean.

Her parents, E. Chandler and Edith Mary Buzzell, as well as her five brothers, Francis G., James C., Leonard A., Edward W., and Donald W. Buzzell preceded her in passing.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Josephine Buzzell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
