LIVERMORE FALLS – Dan Kiesel led a quartet of players to notch goals as Telstar defeated Livermore Falls 4-0 in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup Tuesday.
Rodrigo Silva, Louis Thornton and Max Meader also tallied for the Rebels (1-1) to complete the scoring. Mike Fleet contributed with a pair of assists, while Ryan Kimball made seven saves in net to preserve the shutout.
Derick Neal turned away 20 shots between the posts for the Andies (0-1).

Carrabec 4, Dirigo 3
ANSON – Sam Shaw netted three goals to lead Carrabec to a narrow 4-3 victory over Dirigo in MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
Ryan Trott also tallied for the Cobras (1-0) to complete the scoring.
Shaw’s third goal of the game came unassisted late in the second half to seal the win. Ugo Liberti made six saves in net for Carrabec.
Cary Holman scored two goals for the Cougars, while John Smith also tallied.
Lenny Hall handled goalkeeping duties, turning away 10 shots on the day.
Wiscasset 2, Monmouth 1
MONMOUTH – Steven Bailey booted an unassisted goal at the 1:15 mark of the second half to lift Wiscasset to a 2-1 victory over Monmouth in more MVC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.
Gerald Murphy gave the Redskins (1-1) a first-period goal to round out the final tally. Zack Hartman needed just four saves to record the win.
Max Grover tallied the Mustangs’ (1-1) lone goal in the second half, while Scott Ogden turned away two shots in net.
Mt. Ararat 5, Oxford Hills 0
SOUTH PARIS – Tyler Simpson netted a pair of goals to lead Mt. Ararat to a 5-0 shutout victory over Oxford Hills in an early-season KVAC soccer matchup.
Adam Paine, Caleb Levesque and Jacob Farmer also tallied for the Eagles to complete the scoring.
Ryan Vermette needed only one save to preserve the shutout.
Housani Fitzwan handled netkeeping duties for the Vikings (0-2), turning away five shots on the day.
Mt. Abram 1, Mountain Valley 0
SALEM – Ryan Dudman converted a pass from Chris Smith just under three minutes into the second overtime period to lift Mt. Abram to a 1-0 victory over Mountain Valley in more MVC boys’ soccer action.
Austin Thorndike made six saves in net to record the shutout.
Brian Canwell handled netkeeping duties for the Falcons (0-1), turning away 13 shots on the day.
Georges Valley 4, Winthrop 1
THOMASTON – Elisha Sprague posted a goal and an assist as Georges Valley, edged past Winthrop, posting a 4-1 win Tuesday afternoon.
Georges Valley kept the pressure on until they eventually broke through in the second half of the contest when all four of their goals were scored.
Joeri Klompenhouwer, Garrett Thornbjornson, and Logan Racliff each added a goal for the Buccaneers (1-0) win.
The lone goal for Winthrop (0-1) was scored by Tim Gingras off a pass from Ryan Phillips.
Mike Gingras was strong in goal for the Ramblers effort, turning away 22 shots.
Lawrence 1, Mt. Blue 0
FAIRFIELD – Evan Bois drove in an unassisted goal just one-minute into the contest to lift Lawrence to a 1-0 victory over Mt. Blue in soccer action Tuesday.
Bois found the ball and struck it the right way, finding the back of the net. Josh Sheppard stood firm in goal, turning away eight shots to perserve the Bulldog (1-1) win.
Justin Davies also made eight saves for the Cougars (1-1) effort.
Lawrence had the edge on Mt. Blue in shooting, 12-11, but both teams were tied on corner kicks at three a peice.
