• Norman Johnson, 34, of Rumford, on a warrant, at 4:30 p.m., Aug. 31, on Gleason Street. He was transported to Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Oct. 4.

• Jackie Wilt, 21, of Roxbury Road, Mexico, domestic assault at Roxbury Road at 2:09 a.m. on Sept. 5 at Roxbury Road. She was transported to the Mexico Police Station where she was released on $500 unsecured bail. She is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Oct. 4.

• Jennifer Gatchell, 34, of Oxford Avenue, Rumford, operating under the influence, at 12:27 a.m. on Sept. 4 on the Roxbury Road. She was transported to Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, on Oct. 4.

Burglaries

• The Mexico Town Garage on Roxbury Road was burglarized sometime the night of Aug. 30-31. This is the third time in as many weeks, Chief Jim Theriault said. Burglars took candy and change. Entrance was gained by breaking an office window screen.

At about the same time, someone stole the donation box from the Free Store, also located on Roxbury Road, and someone took the donation box for the spring at Granite Street, Mexico.

Oxford County

PARIS – The following arrests were recently logged at the Oxford County Jail.

• Roger K. Hawkins, 49, Oxford, operating under the influence, Sept. 7 in Paris.

• Paul Jonathan Hunter, 18, homeless, criminal mischief and violation of bail, Sept. 7 by Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. Bail for first charge $200; no bail for second charge.

• Gilbert S. Harris, 56, Conway, N.H., operating under the influence, Sept. 6 by Bethel police. Bail was set at $500.

• Thomas A. Farrington, 23, Jay, operating under the influence, Sept. 6 in Rumford. Cash bail was set at $830.

• Scott Bowie, 29, Oxford, operating under the influence, Sept. 5 by Oxford police. Bail was set at $150.

• Tammy M. Warren, 35, Lewiston, possession of a mutilated operating license and permitting its unlawful use, Sept. 5 in Oxford. Bail was set at $500.

• Paul J. Hunter, 18, Denmark, criminal trespassing, Sept. 5 by Fryeburg police. He was released on personal recognizance.

• Matthew Joshua Clukey, 21, Auburn, probation violation, Sept. 5 in Oxford. No bail was allowed.

• Dana Vernon Littlefield, 36, Woodstock, operating with a suspended license, Sept. 4 in Oxford. Bail was set at $500.

• James Michael Sirmopoulos, 22, Norway, operating under the influence, Sept. 4 by Norway police. He was released on personal recognizance.

• Michael Paul Moore, 21, Rumford, burglary, disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, furnishing scheduled drugs and impersonating a public servant, Sept. 4 by Rumford police. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $200,000 surety.

• Richard G. Carruthers, 59, Buckfield, domestic assault, Sept. 4 by Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on $500 unsecured bail.

• John Francis Martin, 20, Waterford, operating an unregistered vehicle with improper plates, Sept. 4 by Oxford police. He was released on personal recognizance.

• Richard Lee Downs, 54, Rumford, violating conditions of release, Sept. 3 by Rumford police. No bail was allowed.

• Scott Anthony Hart, 26, Bethel, driving to endanger, Sept. 3 by Rumford police. Bail was set at $644.

• Travis Lee Child, 18, Peru, violating bail, Sept. 3 by Rumford police. No bail was allowed.

• Casey C. Flagg, 26, Carthage, driving under the influence and with a suspended license, and violating bail, Sept. 3 by Mexico police. Bail was set at $750.

• Jonathan M. Corkum, 18, Buckfield, operating without a license, Sept. 3 by Paris police. Bail was set for $150.

• AnnMarie F. Westberry, 36, Norway, operating under the influence, Sept. 3 by Oxford police. She was released on personal recognizance.

• Shannon Dawn Simons, 31, Oxford, operating under the influence, Sept. 3 by Oxford police. She was released on personal recognizance.

• William H. Bailey, 28, Norway, trafficking in dangerous knives, Sept. 2 by Oxford police. Bail was set at $150 cash.

• Joshua Shrier Ellsworth, 25, Denmark, operating with a suspended license, Sept. 2 by Oxford police. Bail was set at $100.

• Joshua Sean Stigall, 32, Sabattus, operating under the influence, Sept. 2 by Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. He was released on personal recognizance.

• David W. Harmon, 37, Waterford, operating under the influence and violation of bail conditions, Sept. 2 by state police. No bail allowed.

• John W. Leonard, 36, Oxford, disorderly conduct, Sept. 1 by Oxford police. Bail was set at $150 cash.

• David E. Mitchell, 35, Norway, operating after license suspension, Sept. 1 by Norway police. Bail was set at $240.

Rumford

The following are to be arraigned on Nov. 1 in Rumford District Court:

Daniel McCann, 27, of Rumford, violation of conditions of release and a warrant for trafficking in scheduled drugs, 8:10 p.m. Sept. 5, Maine Avenue. He was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris.

• Angela M. Taylor, 25, of Rumford, Franklin County warrant for unpaid fines, 3:53 p.m. Sept. 4, Essex Avenue. She was transported to Franklin County Jail in Farmington.

• Phillip Hutchinson, 19, of Rumford, domestic assault, 4:46 a.m. Sept. 4, Holyoke Avenue. He was released on $700 unsecured bail.

• Travis L. Child, 19, of Peru, violation of conditions of release, 1:25 a.m. Sept. 3, Lincoln Avenue. He was transported to Oxford County Jail.

• Wayne G. Dyment, 43, of Mexico, operating under the influence, 1:20 a.m. Sept. 3, Railroad Street. He was released on $500 unsecured bail.

• Richard Downs, 54, of Rumford, violation of conditions of release, 12:15 a.m. Sept. 3, Oxford Avenue. He was transported to Oxford County Jail.

• Scott Hart, 26, of Bethel, warrant for unpaid fines, 11 p.m. Sept. 2, Route 2. He was transported to Oxford County Jail.

Accidents
Mexico

• Vehicles driven by Jane L. Jacques, 28, of Main Street, Livermore Falls, and Peter Gardner, 59, of Kingfield, collided at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19 on Main Street. Jacques’ 1995 Jeep SUV sustained about $1,000 damage. Gardner’s 1994 Toyota pickup truck sustained about $1,500 damage. Neither driver nor a passenger riding with Gardner was injured.

Rumford

• Sept. 4, 10:15 p.m. – Gregory Starkey, 22, of Katonah, N.Y., was not injured after a wheel fell off his 1994 Jeep sport utility vehicle, which he was driving on Route 2. Damage to the SUV was estimated at $1,200; to the road, $100.

Burglary
Mexico

• The University of Maine System Rumford/Mexico Center at 13 Brown St. was burglarized between 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and 5:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22. In it, $138 in cash was taken and a digital camera. Several hundred dollars in damage was done to windows, a file cabinet and a safe. Entrance was gained through a basement rear window. Mexico Police Chief Jim Theriault said the department has suspects.
