LEWISTON – Yvette H. Lacombe, 95, of 25 Brown St., Lewiston, died Monday, Sept. 5, at d’Youville Pavilion, with her family by her side, following a short illness.

She was born in Magog, Quebec, on Feb. 27, 1910, the daughter of Emeric and Alexina (Paradis) Cloutier, and had been a resident of this community most of her life.

She was employed in the local textile industry for several years, then became a homemaker.

She married Roland Lacombe on Nov. 10, 1938; he died on Oct. 7, 2001.

She was a member of Holy Cross Church and Horizon 55. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and going on her Sunday rides.

She is survived by three daughters, Therese Pelletier of Jacksonville, Fla., Rolande Saladino and her husband, Louis, of Mooresville, N.C., and Constance Bilodeau and her husband, Normand, of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Rita, Monique, Jimmy and his wife, Rebecca, Cindy and her companion, Scott, Brian, Lisa and her husband, Pat, Stephen and his companion, Nanette, and Stacey and her fianc, Steven; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Dennis Lambert.
