What would happen if “Late Night” host Conan O’Brien fought a bear? It goes without saying that it would be cool. But what would it look like?
That’s what the probing minds at www.conanvsbear.com would like to know. They seek illustrations of such a match, and drawings have been flooding the Web site.
They range from crayon drawings to pencil illustrations and cartoonish characters.
The site is the brainchild of Matt Alland and Randy Rydeen.
Alland says he and his pal started it a few months ago for no particular reason and it took off by word of mouth. People started sending in stick-person art, and then professional artists began sending in their work.
“It was a completely random idea. There really is no direct purpose to it, which I think makes it unique,” says Alland, who founded a Web company called HostCompare.com at age 21, and eventually sold it.
He currently runs a Web site called Hostnews.com, which he says will take “an industry approach to Web hosting.”
