LEWISTON – Jeannette C. Drouin, 85, of Lewiston, died on Sunday, Sept. 11, at d’Youville Pavilion, with her family by her side following a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 2, 1920, the daughter of Ernest and Lucienne (Beaudoin) Cloutier. She had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She married Lucien L. Drouin in 1939, at St. Mary’s Church; he died on Aug. 11, 1986. She was employed at Bates Fabric Inc. of Lewiston for more than 30 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed playing cards and beano with her friends.
She is survived by one son, Maurice A. Drouin and his wife, Pauline, of Pownal; two daughters, Pauline Bates and her husband, Rene, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Linda Cook and her husband, John, of Lewiston; one sister, Florette Caron of Lewiston; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
