JAY – Amanda Gallant found the back of the net on a pass from Kaitlin Drury with two minutes remaining in the second overtime to give Mountain Valley a 4-3 victory over Jay in an MVC field hockey matchup Monday.

The Falcons (1-2) were down a goal with 4:44 left in regulation when Sarah Morin scored off a Drury corner to send the game in overtime, setting up Gallant’s heroics.

Livermore Falls 9, Dirigo 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Taryn Flagg netted four goals, including three in the second half, and added an assist as Livermore Falls rang up six goals in the final frame en route to a 9-0 victory over visiting Dirigo in MVC field hockey action Monday.

Rachel Ventrella and Erica Gatf each recorded a goal and an assist for the undefeated Andies (4-0).

Sam Whiting stopped all three shots that she faced to earn the win in net.

Lisbon 2, Georges Valley 0

THOMASTON – Kelsey Leglohec scored a goal and added an assist to lead Lisbon to a 2-0 win over Georges Valley in MVC field hockey action Monday.

The Greyhounds (4-0) notched both goals in the second half with Leglohec feeding Heather Parry for the insurance marker.

Telstar 10, Hall-Dale 1

BETHEL – Mallory Brown scored her first hat trick of the season as Telstar routed Hall-Dale 10-1 in MVC field hockey action Monday.

The Rebels (3-1) dominated on offense, scoring five goals in each of the halves. Danna Wilson contributed a pair of goals, whle five other players scored a goal apiece.

Hall-Dale goalie Alyssa Withee stopped 14 shots, while Stephanie Tripp had two saves for Telstar in the win.

Soccer

Maranacook 4, Oak Hill 0

Readfield – Allison Mayer netted the first two goals of the game to power Maranacook to a 4-0 victory over Oak Hill. Maranacook (3-1) also received goals from Jackie Mrazik and Allyssa Neptune in the second half.

Keeper Courtney Seguin made 49 saves in net for the Raiders.

Waynflete 8, St. Doms 0

AUBURN – Alex Woodhouse found the back of the net three times to carry Waynflete to an 8-0 victory over St. Doms in varsity girls’ soccer action Monday.

Gretchen Knoth added a goal and an assist for Waynflete (2-1).

Waynflete goalkeeper Eliza Timpson made 11 stops to earn the shutout.

Traip 4, Poland 3

KITTERY – Kathleen Conroy scored two goals, including the game-winning goal in double overtime, to give Traip a 4-3 victory over Poland.

Danielle Sheppard scored the first goal for Traip (1-3) on a penalty kick and Ali Higgans scored the second.

Alicia Dube led Poland with two goals and Danin Belanger also scored for the Knights.
