POLAND – The Polland family reunion was held at Range Pond State Park on Aug. 7, with the Pettengill family as hosts.

There were approximately 75 attending this year, with almost 20 relatives from Connecticut. Ken Hodson, 81, was the eldest. The youngest member of the family was Sam Shultz, 1.

The death of Carleton Polland, the twin of Clayton, was noted. Get well cards were signed for several members of the family who were unable to attend because of illness.

Officers were voted to remain the same: Alton Arsenault, president; Cynthia Pettengill, secretary/treasurer.

The Hall family volunteered to host next year’s reunion at the park on the second Sunday in August.
