STRONG – Police released the name of the 21-year-old Freeman Township man charged in August in connection with spray painting the Strong Elementary School with graffiti and words that threatened a shooting.

Jesse Ellsworth, 21, was charged with criminal mischief in the case, Franklin County Sheriff Lt. Niles Yeaton said Thursday.

Deputies are awaiting analysis of physical evidence collected at the site to charge a second man who goes to school out of town, he said.

A third person was with the two men, but didn’t participate in the vandalism, he said.

Vandals used five different colors of spray paint and wrote on two sections of the school on the fascia boards beneath the roof line.

Police initially declined to release Ellsworth’s name to protect their case against the second man.
