LEWISTON/AUBURN – Doug Beck of Auburn Parks & Recreation and Tony Gowell of the Lewiston Slow Pitch Softball League have announced that the Lewiston and Auburn slow pitch softball league champions will go head-to-head this week in a best-of-three series for a Twin Cities Championship, of sorts.

“There are no national contracts involved, no championship rings, not even a trophy at stake, just plain old bragging rights,” said Beck.

The series began Monday night at Randall Road complex in Lewiston. Game 2 is tonight at Auburn’s Pettengill Park, with Game 3, if necessary, slated for Lewiston on Wednesday.
