Dear Sun Spots: We have a certificate to Mr. Sea’s Lobster Pound at 1184 Sabattus St. in Lewiston. We can never reach them. I bought the certificate for Father’s Day and would like to use it. It expires Dec. 31, 2005. The certificate was authorized by Anthony Crowley. – P.H., Litchfield.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots has tried to reach the Crowley’s listed in both the Lewiston and Monmouth area as well as leaving a message on the answering machine at Mr. Sea’s Lobster Pound, with no success.

Dear Sun Spots: I was wondering if you could tell me about a drink cap that I found. It says Orange Spot soda. I was wondering when the soda was made. And the history on it. Thanks for the help. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: Orange Spot appears to have been made by C. S. Canning in Scranton, Pa. It appears the company is now out of business. You might consider contacting the local historical society to see if they have anything in their archives. Dear Sun Spots: I’m looking for a volunteer in the Yarmouth area who would be willing to spend some one-on-one time, playing cards and games, and going for short walks with one of the residents here at Coastal Manor.
