JAY – Ray Pineau, a state lawmaker and Jay selectman, who had a stroke Aug. 24, is progressing in his recovery at a Bangor hospital, Jay Town Manager Ruth Marden said Thursday.
He is in intense physical, occupational and speech therapy at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Marden said.
She received an e-mail from Pineau’s brother Ed Pineau, giving her an update on his brother’s condition, Marden said.
People may send e-mail messages to Ray Pineau by going to the hospital’s Internet site, emmc.org, and clicking on “Email a Patient.”
Pineau is in his third term as a Democratic state representative for District 87, representing the towns of Chesterville, Jay, New Sharon, Starks and Mercer.
