On Sept. 3, the Sun Journal had a story that mentioned Blaisdell’s in Peru. You failed to print that Blaisdell’s is owned and operated by Community Energy in Rumford.

Early this year, the petroleum industry reported record profits.

It also uses every excuse it can dream up in order to continue raising fuel prices. The latest is a hurricane; back along, it was sabotage to the pipes in Iraq. They could cut the prices in half, make repairs from the hurricane with a bit of last year’s profit and still make billions in profits this year.

Also, I checked other pumps for the best buy and none got up within 50 cents of Blaisdell’s. However, today Blaisdell’s is posted as $2.89.

All this said, and the Social Security folks, in January, gave me a 2.7 percent cost-of-living increase. What a joke.
