CANTON – Voters will decide on Tuesday whether to close Canton School.
If the town votes to keep it open, it will cost the town an additional $70,996.56.

Another article on the referendum asks if the town should purchase the Veterans of Foreign Wars building at 9 Staples Hill Road for $25,000. Selectmen support the purchase. The selectmen have prepared an information plan on this proposed purchased. It is available at the Town Office for review by residents.
The board will be inspecting the VFW property and discussing its suitability to be used as the new town office at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The public is invited to meet with selectmen there.
If approved, the Town Office would move into this building after renovations are made.
The polls will open at 11 a.m. Tuesday and remain open until 7 p.m.
