I am writing to acknowledge the terrific work of the Sun Journal photographers. Most of the time, readers take for granted the photos that accompany articles in the newspaper. However, as someone who has tried hard for years to take interesting pictures, I recognize how challenging it is to consistently provide arresting photos. Day after day, staff photographers provide excellent work in the Sun Journal.

The work of the Maine Associated Press photographers that the Sun Journal often publishes also deserves mention. I am particularly impressed by the consistently innovative photography.

The work by all the professional photographers makes a big difference in the quality of the newspaper.

I, for one, appreciate it.
