March of Dimes gala features music of a past era, dancing, auctions and more.
The March of Dimes will throw back to the ’50s at its annual gala fund-raiser Friday, Sept. 30, at the Ramada Conference Center in Lewiston.
Highlights of the evening include character waiters, live and silent auctions, music by the City Lights Quintet of Portland and dancing. In addition, twisting and “heads and tails” contests will be held, with prizes for the winners.
For $25 attendees can purchase a glass of champagne and receive a $25 gift certificate for Day’s Jewlers and a chance to win four different jewelry pieces, valued at $599 each, from Day’s Jewelers.
The Brenda Fontaine family team will be honored at the event themed “Nifty ’50s,” which will run from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.
Tickets are $50 per person, $75 per couple and $600 for a table of 10. Tickets are available from the March of Dimes, the Sun Journal, Brenda Fontaine Realty, the Ramada Conference Center and Day’s Jewelers.
