LANCASTER, Pa. – Patricia K. Schroeder, 84, of Conestoga View, Lancaster, Pa., formerly of Auburn, died Sept. 20, 2005. She was the wife of Sherwood N. Schroeder of Auburn, with whom she was married 59 years last December.
Born in Terre Haute, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Hazel Irwin Krackenberger. She was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Auburn.
She taught art for a total of 35 years in the public schools of Jasper, Ind., Middletown, Md., and Auburn.
She enjoyed gardening and many arts and crafts, including painting, photography and jewelry making. She was an animal lover and leaves behind her beloved dogs, Mac and Maggie.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is one daughter, Dr. Patricia S. Hill, married to Dr. David C. Hill of Conestoga, Pa.; two grandchildren, Jessica Lynne Hill and Emily Kathryn Hill; one brother, Herman F. Krackenberger of Marshall, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy A. Woodman, wife of Raymond G. Woodman of Auburn.
