POLAND – Raymond and Marjorie Coleman of Poland recently observed their 65th wedding anniversary at the AMVETS Hall in New Gloucester. The event was planned by children of the couple, Win and Carol Coleman, Deannie and Wes Rogers, and Brenda Coleman.

Balloons, family pictures and candles decorated the hall for the event. The couple received many cards and gifts. Win Coleman was the toastmaster. One of the highlights of the day was the arrival of their grandson, who had just come from Iraq a short time before the party.

About 125 people attended from Maine and Connecticut.

Mr. Coleman and the former Marjorie Louise Cox were married on May 10, 1940, in Auburn. Their children are Winfield and Carol Coleman, Geraldine and Wes Rogers, and Brenda Coleman, (husband, Gerald Coleman, deceased.) Their grandchildren are Sheryl Lucas, Colleen Shink, Randell Coleman, Mark Gary, Matthew Gary, Pam Greene, Katie Sturtevant, Dan Coleman and Andrew Coleman.

Mrs. Coleman is retired from Etonic Shoe and is a member of Oxford Grange and Minot Corner Church.

Mr. Coleman is retired from Bates Mill and is also a member of Oxford Grange and Minot Corner Church.
