PINEY FLATS, Tenn. – Wayde “Chef Wayde” Edwards, 44, of Piney Flats, Tenn., died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at his residence, following an extended illness.
A native of Berlin, N.H., he was the son of Betty Blair Edwards and the late Oscar Edwards.
Wayde worked for Levy Restaurant in Chicago for 15 years. He traveled throughout the United States opening restaurants. Locally, Wayde was an executive chef for United Co. in Bristol, Va., for several years.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, yard work, and spending time at the beach.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy VanSchoten Edwards, of Piney Flats, Tenn.; two daughters, Rachel Marie Edwards of Piney Flats, and Samantha Edwards of Halifax, Mass.; his mother, Betty Edwards, of Mulberry, Fla.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Connie and John Bealieu of Sabattus, Maine, Jennifer and Scott Branscom of Caribou, Maine, and Amy Edwards of Mulberry, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Cass and Carol Edwards, of Auburn, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Oscar Edwards.
