PORTSMOUTH, N.H. – Laura M. LeClair, 57, resident of 15 Foye’s Lane, Kittery Point, formerly of Auburn, died Thursday morning, Sept. 22.

She was born in Bangor, Aug. 18, 1948, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer and Charolette Witten of Auburn.

She attended Auburn schools. She was a Salvation Army soldier of Lewiston-Auburn. She worked in manufacturing and restaurant businesses.

She married Victor E. LeClair on Sept. 19, 1970.

She loved her children, grandchildren, flowers and gardening.

She was a wonderful wife and mother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Victor, of Kittery Point; her son, Robert LeClair of Thomaston; her daughter, Linda LeClair of Lewiston; her son, Elmer LeClair of Kittery Point; stepson, Keith LeClair of Lousiana; stepdaughter, Ginny Burke of Florida; stepdaughter, Lisa Murdaugh of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Charolette Witten of Auburn; her two sisters, Mary Pepin of Sabattus, and Mrs. John (Connie) Campbell of Fredericksburg, Va.; her two brothers, Mr. Earl Witten of Auburn, and Mr. Paul (Lynn) Witten of Auburn; her grandmother, Mary Quimby; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Elmer Witten; a daughter, Patty Joe; and a niece, Janice Campbell.
